Red Strokes - Garth Brooks

(And since I'm on this train of thought...let me add this song, which is my all time favourite country song. Don't remember if i've put his on my blog before, but this morning calls for this to be reiterated.
They say that sometimes a word is worth a 1000 pictures. This song speaks more than just volumes. It talks about love, taking one, from the human to the divine to the sublime.)

Moonlight on canvas, midnight and wine
Two shadows starting to softly combine
The picture they're painting
Is one of the heart
And to those who have seen it
It's a true work of art

Oh, the red strokes
Passions uncaged
Thundering moments of tenderness rage
Oh, the red strokes
Tempered and strong (Fearlessly drawn)
Burning the night like the dawn

Steam on the window, salt in a kiss
Two hearts have never pounded like this
Inspired by a vision
That they can't command
Erasing the borders
With each brush of a hand

Oh, the blues will be blue and the jealousies green
But when love picks its shade it demands to be seen

Steam on the window, salt in a kiss
Two hearts have never pounded like this...

Pas a Pas se va luènh

Dear Zahir

Ma shlomkha?

Here's the video link to a great number by Israel's most famous singer Aviv Geffen. The song 'Maka' or 'tomorrow' is about a relationship that's come unstuck. The couple is already negotiating terms of separation -- a ceremony attendant with allegations, counter-allegations and tenderness. Midway, they even consider giving it one last chance, but the world peopled by lawyers and private detectives wont let them be together again.

Though the song's in Hebrew you'll quite like it. The video, simply shot yet manages to capture the drama.

In 2001 Aviv joined hands with Steve Wilson of Porcupine Tree to form the successful band Blackfield. They recently released their second album Blackfield 2.

Here is a link to one of their hits 'Pain' from the eponymous first album.
